Who We Are

Our Story

The Association was originally formed in the 1980s when groups of students arrived to study in the various universities and colleges in the Waterloo region. The increasing number of students and many other Ghanaians in the region necessitated the formation of the Association to help solve the many challenges associated with settling in a new environment as immigrants.

Our Vision

The vision of the Association is to have a stable, strong, vibrant and integrated Ghanaian Canadian community in the Waterloo Region.

Our Mission

The Association is a non-profit/charitable organization whose mission is to oversee the welfare of Ghanaian Canadians in the Waterloo Region and foster a sense of community amongst them.

Our Values

Respect, Inclusion, Collaboration. Integration, Engagement and Unity.
